Tips
Almost any recipe calling for butter can be made
healthier by substituting olive oil. Use this chart
to guide you in using olive oil in cakes, breads,
brownies, cookies, dips and sauces that usually call
for butter. Ah love offers a variety of olive oils
to ensure you choose the right flavor for your
recipe. Most cakes benefit from a fruity, mild olive
oil, such as Moroccan or a flavored olive oil, such
as Blood Orange or Meyer Lemon. Breads and heavier
recipes like brownies can hold up a strong, bolder
olive oil, like our Spanish Arobsana. To maintain
the taste of butter, but the health benefits of
olive oil, try our Butter Olive Oil; naturally
flavored to taste like a balanced combination of
fruity olive oil and creamy butter.
You can make your own table spread by mixing
1 1/4 Cup Butter, room temp
3/4 Cup Ah love Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Beat butter in food processor or mixer until soft.
Gradually add the olive oil. When it is completely
blended it will be pourable. Pour into containers,
cover and store in fridge. It will harden as it
cools. Use as you would butter. See our
Recipes for more ideas.
